Trash Bash

You may recall that our Spring Adopt-A-Highway project was cut short due to rain that
started while we were cleaning our sections of roadway. Something tells me no one else has
cleaned the roads since, and I feel certain that at least a little more trash has been added.
Saturday, September 20th has been scheduled for our Fall Trash Bash. I will not be here at
that time, but Danny and Pam Leech have graciously agreed to be the host and hostess of this
event. Meet at Willy’s Ice Cream at 3:00 to get your vest and trash bags. You will then
caravan to our designated sections of highway and, with a good crew, spruce up our adopted
highways for our visitors to the 27th Annual British Car Festival.

As a reward for your help, dinner will be at the Leech’s. All you have to do is bring your
gloves and comfortable shoes. The rest will be furnished by the Club. You will help make our
area a little more beautiful for the visitors to our car show and enjoy good food and beverages
with good friends.

To get to Willie’s from the East, take I-64 to exit 94. At the end of the ramp, turn right and go
to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Lew DeWitt Blvd. Turn right at the fourth traffic
light, and Willy’s Ice Cream is on the right. Enter the parking light from Main Street.
From the West, also take exit 94 off of I-64. At the end of this ramp, turn right and go to the
second traffic light. Turn left onto Lew DeWitt Blvd. and follow the directions above.
