Ice Chipper Rally
March 24th
Fresh from a round trip to Amelia Island, Florida in his 1972 MGB-GT-V8 Ken “I Don’t Brake For Corners” Brasfield, along with his lovely wife Diana, are hosting SVBCC’s annual Ice Chipper Rally. All participants will meet at the Pilot Gasoline station in Greeneville, VA located at the intersection of I-81, US-340 and US-11. Our departure time will be 10AM. The rally will be a caravan style event with all cars receiving printed directions so nobody has to stick to another’s bumper for fear of getting lost. This makes for a safer and fun event as you drive some magnificent roads in Augusta, Rockbridge, Bath, and other Virginia counties (even swinging into West Virginia for a short time) at your own pace. We will arrive at the Swinging Bridge Restaurant located in Paint Bank, VA at around 1PM, or earlier.
This is a rain or shine event except in serious snow and/or ice. If the roads are icky enough to make you decide not to drive your classic British car then please come in a modern one. After all MGs rust, Hondas don’t.
